Making Mental Health Care More Accessible

At MetanoTalk, we believe that access to mental health care should not depend on where you live or how much you can afford.

In many communities around the world, people who need psychological support are still unable to access it. The reasons are numerous: the cost of counselling, limited availability of mental health professionals, stigma, lack of awareness, and underfunded mental health systems.

MetanoTalk exists to help close that gap.

We are a nonprofit organization providing accessible mental health counselling through online video sessions, allowing individuals to connect with mental health professionals from wherever they are.

Our goal is simple: bring mental health support closer to the people who need it most.

Our Story

MetanoTalk was founded in 2022 from the belief that mental health support should be accessible beyond financial and geographical boundaries.

Across many countries and communities, the need for mental health services is significant, yet access remains limited. For many individuals, private counselling is financially out of reach, while existing public services may be limited, difficult to access, or simply unavailable.

Technology gives us an opportunity to do things differently.

By providing counselling remotely through Zoom, MetanoTalk helps overcome geographical barriers and creates a more accessible pathway to mental health support.

What started as an idea to make psychological support easier to reach has grown into a broader mission: help reduce inequalities in access to mental health care.

Our Mission

Our mission is to expand access to mental health counselling for individuals and communities facing financial, geographical, and social barriers to care.

Through online counselling, we aim to connect people with mental health support regardless of where they live, while keeping our services as accessible as possible for populations who may otherwise struggle to receive care.

We also work to increase mental health awareness, reduce stigma, and encourage people to seek support before their difficulties become overwhelming.

Our Vision

We envision a world where quality mental health support is not a privilege.

A world where someone experiencing emotional or psychological difficulties can access support regardless of their income, country, or social circumstances.

Our long-term vision is to contribute to reducing the global mental health treatment gap, particularly within underserved and Francophone communities where access to affordable mental health services remains limited.

What We Do :
Online Mental Health Counselling

MetanoTalk provides mental health counselling through confidential online video sessions.

Our remote model allows individuals to receive support without being limited by geographical distance and makes counselling available to people who may have few accessible options within their communities.

Mental Health Education

Access also begins with information.

MetanoTalk promotes mental health awareness and provides educational resources designed to help people better understand emotional well-being, recognize when support may be needed, and feel more comfortable seeking help.

Fighting Mental Health Stigma

In many communities, psychological difficulties remain highly stigmatized.

Through education and open conversations, we work to normalize seeking mental health support and challenge the idea that asking for help is a sign of weakness.

Affordability

Our nonprofit mission places accessibility at the center of our work. Our counselling sessions are free of charge. Financial circumstances should not determine whether someone can receive mental health support.

Cultural Awareness

Culture shapes how people understand mental health, express distress, seek help, and respond to psychological support.

MetanoTalk recognizes these differences and promotes an approach that respects cultural backgrounds, beliefs, values, and lived experiences.

Our Values

Accessibility

Mental health support should be within reach, regardless of income or location.

Every person seeking support deserves to be treated with respect.

Closing the Mental Health Gap, One Conversation at a Time

Millions of people need mental health support but cannot access it.

MetanoTalk was created because we believe that where someone lives or what they can afford should not determine whether they have someone to turn to.

By using technology to make counselling more accessible across borders, we hope to contribute to a future where mental health care reaches communities that have historically been underserved.

Because mental health care should be accessible to everyone.
